Prior to Ragged Edge, Tristan worked as a data analyst and data scientist for IBM in New York City. During his time at IBM, Tristan built data analytics tools designed to give business leaders across the marketing and sales departments the insights that they needed to make informed, data driven decisions. His work ranged from designing and building the data infrastructure for a marketing ROI projection system, to working with marketing campaign managers to optimize their marketing tactics, to co-developing a new statistical method of analyzing IBM’s customer purchasing patterns, which was widely used to inform customer targeting tactics and product bundling strategies. Through his experience in the industry, Tristan saw first-hand the extent to which a well-designed data analytics platform can transform an organization, and he co-founded Ragged Edge with the goal of bringing that transformative power to all companies. Tristan earned his BS in Decision Science with a focus on Economic and Statistic Methods from Carnegie Mellon University.
When he’s not working, Tristan is either staying active by skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and searching out live music, or winding down with a good book.
