Steve graduated from Duke University with a double major in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. He then dove into the field of medical device design, working at a product development company – Key Technologies. Steve spent several years designing custom printed circuit boards for complex electromechanical devices. His design work spanned 6+ client applications, ranging from space-constrained hardware designs, extensive biochemistry investigations, to designing software to automate and streamline testing processes. Along with valuable technical expertise, Steve gained crucial experience with both meeting client deadlines and surpassing client expectations.

With wide-ranging experience in software design and an underlying passion for machine learning, Steve teamed up with Tristan in the field of data analytics. What first began as a side project has transformed over the past 3 years into Ragged Edge.

Outside of work, Steve has been enjoying the perks of living in Denver. He keeps busy skiing, rock climbing, hiking, learning photography, scuba diving (whenever possible), and he is always itching for the next backpacking trip.
